aMusing Adieus my muse is being funky, she's having lots of fun, she knows I've got to leave now, soon out the door I'll run she's playing little mind tricks she's a sprightly little one my muse is being funky but she's having all the fun my heart says write sweet somethings that will last when you're gone awhile so poets from all over the world will come back to read and smile but my muse, why she is grinning ~ see her looking at me? ~ she wants to play, cajole and roll and won't let HER muse let be…. now that's a thought, and had you thunk that a muse is not alone? Heaven help us oh my gosh, they don't travel in groups of one! a muse has a muse of its own and they get together to plot how to make us humans squirm especially THIS poetic lot now here I'd like to pen some cheer and these muses are making it clear they have other things on their mind and won't let me write sweet rhyme why, they took my fountain pen and turned OFF my computer once again they've even hid some friends in the institut'r, and they've rummaged my paper from me while in my brain they run and play "Ollie-Ollie-oxen free" I suppose it's really all my fault as last night I happened to see a re-run of a very good show, "Dead Poets Society" and now I've got on my mind a little rhyme here, some snippets of time weaving in and out and all about they're calling to me again BUT my muse is being funky, she's having lots of fun, she knows I've got to leave now, soon out the door I'll run she's playing little mind tricks she's a sprightly little one my muse is being funky but she's having all the fun Hey my poets….y'all take care of yourselves….I'll check in as soon as I get back. Have a good week! Miss me just a little….and write volumes so I might read to my heart's content when I get come home. Sun |
