Paradox and Poets Stories of arrival long since told did it ever cross your mind that I stayed in many ways because of you not just in love am I blind We are the same side of opposite coins do you find that hard to bear if I’d known I was crossing a line of late I may have taken greater care For I’ve seemingly caused you some distress though that was never my desire I accept your retreat as new evidence of emotions much more dire So I’ll simply shave a bit more Crayola into this cocktail farce of life toast the gods of poetry and mix my own colors tonight [This message has been edited by JLR (edited 05-17-2001).] |

JLR~ In the melancholy of this ... there is a soft beauty ~ 'So I’ll simply shave a bit more Crayola into this cocktail farce of life toast the gods of poetry and mix my own colors tonight' Very vivid imagery here. Nicely done. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
