Some days the world weighs upon my shoulders
I wonder if I will ever make it through the day
One thing after another seems to come up
I try to get them all done but it’s almost impossible
One person can only do so much alone
They need help to accomplish their goals
But where does the help come from?

If you’re lucky like me you have friends
Who help you along the way trying to lighten the load
I don’t think I could do it without them
Because some days I barely make it even with their help
So I thank God for bringing them into my life
They have enriched it with their very presence
Blessing me with their kindness and generosity

There are times when my all doesn’t seem good enough
Somehow someway it seems to always find a way
To get the task at hand completed just in time
Sometimes I amaze myself at how well
I seem to work under enormous pressure
Yet those are the times I do my very best
Oh I am good the other times but I shine under pressure

I am always willing to lend a hand to friends
Who need a little extra help on a project
Or with a deadline that is quickly approaching
We seem to have found the perfect combination
Of give and take when it is needed the most
None of us mind pitching in to finish up
We are not too proud to ask when we need it

A group of people working together
When the chips are down and things look bleak
They are the ones you can turn to
For support, ideas, comfort, a laugh or two
To relieve the stress building up inside
Individually they do well but together
They exemplify the true meaning of teamwork
