(For Penelope and Odysseus) fair Penelope of yore done and undone tapestry home lights of Ithaca Frame her but the Voice Names her Lifts her in its Quietude a pin drop thunder to an Echo of a Whisper her name doth call carried aloft past Wind Rain and Squall above crashing waves of roaring surf clear heard that Echo of a Whisper known her name spoken soft as velvet rose feels the Voice in Heart near or Worlds away he calls to her saying only "I am, coming Home" "Hope is like a lighthouse keeper's beam" (Klaatu) [This message has been edited by ATelamon (edited 05-15-2001).] |
