"Daddy has a sweetheart and Mother is her name." Daddy's best loved record, and I felt much the same. As my daddy rocked me, he played this little game. He'd say, "Listen for it, just listen for your name." "Daddy has a sweetheart" and then these words I'd hear, "And Joyce is her name." I heard it loud and clear. Only when he said so, was my name sung this way. How my daddy did it, I know not to this day. By Joyce 3/29/01 |
