My Sisters And I I’ve got a whole tribe of sisters there’s six of us in all The midwife was a frequent visitor she knew our hall Now we’re all older those days of youth are far past But there within my memories those days will surely last We were a group that were noticed, we were never missed A sweet sextet of sisters that had been chased not kissed We might have looked, as we were as sweet as we could be But that wasn’t the real truth about all my sisters and me We call the eldest The Poison Dwarf, now isn’t that sweet? A more troublesome sister you’ll surely never ever meet Except that she is outdone by Practically Perfect Pat Who isn’t perfect at all, there’s really no doubt about that Then Francessca nicknamed as the blonde bombshell She’s liable to blow up, and when she does run like hell Marcella AKA Marce the Grass, please don’t mess with her That’s asking for trouble her pot you’d better not stir Sweet little Melissa, the youngest now she’s a tricky one Little Melissa causes strife, she’s the reason troubles’ begun So there’s Penelope the poison one and then Perfect Patricia There’s Francessca, dear Marcella and un-sweet Melissa And as for me, I’m Marsha, what you see is what you get Very little brain in fact my head has space it could let But I try to be good I really do but I always seem to fail I can’t help it really I go all to pieces when I see a male Are we still as much trouble as we all were in our youth I think in some ways we’re worse I do and that’s the truth Penelope can be catty she has such a sharp tongue and claws Practically Perfect Pat is chock full of annoying little flaws Francessca can blow up at the merest hint of a dark cloud And Marcella will continue to tell all and she’s so loud Melissa is a conundrum who I fail to understand at all And me? Well, yes into mischief I will inevitably still fall And would I like to change them? Sometimes I truly would I’d swap them all for a darling older brother if I only could Because he would adore me and he’d have lots of friends It would have been magic, the possibilities just never ends Instead I got sisters and with them I’ll have to be content Okay it’s true not one of them from sweet heaven was sent And are they all as bad as I say they are? Oh yes its all true But sisters we are, in trouble we pull each other through Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning [This message has been edited by Marsha (edited 05-13-2001).] |

Delightful tribute to your clan. Must've been fun growing up. I'm glad you have each other especially when time are tough. |
