Cats Traipse My Life, Too Somewhere, he’s around 68 or 69 his voice raspier now, I would imagine his cat’s cat’s cats still haunt his mind, own his home, as in leonine tread, they still bring thoughts of yesterday’s conquests back to him no matter who lives there now… tawny coats bringing liquid movement of moments long gone, black fur wraps with green eyes winking, blinking back memories of mornings between thighs he thought he would never forget what’s her name calicos and coffee newspapers shuffled tousled heads ‘neath sheets feet searching for a quiet piece of cool in the sheet’s corners yes, she and she and she did that and other things his craggy face of then craggier still but sexy, yes, still that look of “come read my mind” what would I give for one day of Rod reading aloud and me, asking questions as they came to mind, or not, just listening listening why cats leave their pawprints throughout his writings, but it’s simple… feline women left their prints everywhere… he must be a Leo…. but I don’t know. I only hope I have nine lives to find out. 12 May 01 |

Now...you must be bored, when you spend all that time analyzing those cats! I know from experience cats just are! But...I am curious if you had nine lives what or who would you be? This was very cute I liked it. |

Much said in an allusion of real drapery the cat is to blame and to praise are they not all so inclined and equally delightful Comliments AT "The most redeeming facet of life is that we have the comfort of knowing it will end. Death doth love equally." [This message has been edited by ATelamon (edited 05-13-2001).] |

Love it very much, I've always have cats, sometimes ten at the same time, and yes one could fill a day speaking of cats. Titia |

I guess this all stems from going back after a couple of decades to read McKuen's works... when I first read him, the innocent that I was, I recall blushing at certain passages... as I read him today, he always had a cat passing by in the wings.... and at times, I still blush... but with a smile! Glad you all enjoyed... Mysteria, I can only hope if I had nine lives, that I would improve on each one, but who would I come back as? That cannot be a given, as that "identity" is most likely unknown, as it should be. But definitely, any faults I have, I would like wiped away... ATelemon...having you back is like a breath of fresh air! I have missed your comments, and your poetry... Marsha, someday, we shall surely discuss cats, and other things that come with tea... Titia [what a lovely name] I have had cats, and now I am only owned by a lovely dog... but someday I will have cats again... thank you all for reading...
