The Next New Dawn It's just like the seasons to bring changes that we slowly prepare for And, through each one we surely find our way In our hearts we can hold many and still have room As every new dawn should be an even brighter day... I hope the next new dawn you'll clearly open your eyes And, may you easily find strength in that sun Take the peace that the rays gently lay upon you And, simply give praise to what the night has just done... Allow the sunrise to give you what I surely cannot And, take in the light that shines for us all Because a little bit of hope lives within each soul And, may that sun be my hands if you should ever fall... I hope the next new dawn sings the sweet melody of love And, the rhythm becomes the same as your heart For when the sunset has left you down on your knees May the dawn bridge the distance that keep you and loved ones apart... I pray the next new dawn finds you on top of the world And, may it's light lend you happiness on high It's not within my power to ever stop the rain But, may that sun be my heart to dry your eyes... I hope the next new dawn wakes you to always be your best And, I sure hope that dawn has allowed you a long nights rest For I simply cannot mend any broken promises ever made But, if you should ever need me I'm only a day away... Because a little bit of hopes lies within each soul There are days when the hope gets us by...there are days when it only makes us cry. Very nice poem, your heart is true. |
