This was inspired by the Pastor apologizing for his lengthy sermon last May 7, 2000. It is not the one written from his sermon. Fast Food Virginia Salter In this day of jet planes Concords and cyberspace Minute rice and e-mail t.v. shows that span a life in sixty minutes short Microwaves that bake a tator in one-sixth of an hour or cake in less than that it’s much quicker to get fat Some wonder why when seeking spiritual food the time allotted every worship day is the same long-long hour Fast food, fast food we all want our fast food we want to eat and run fill from rise to setting sun All those hours speeding by world racing through the sky chasing moonbeams round the sun let me out to have my fun Just give me fast food Pastor, give me fast food I’m not in any mood for anything but fast food! © May 7, 2000 |

Very true, Virginia! What we want isn't always what we need. Good work. |

Excellent, Virginia! And very very true, a shame I think.
