When Comes the Dew

A candle burns late
in a saucer of thinnest blue.

Like an egg shell’s transparent crust
warm with life,
I wait to feel the birth
of an evening thought.
I can see it in transparent light,
fragile with truth.

The candle will burn down
and open the star dazed sky
and when comes the dew
perhaps then
I will find it.

What a lovely, lovely thought you found.
