They, we, them

I’ve read these pages for a year or two
Thinking!
What a funny bunch they, we, them, all are
Nothing more in life to do
Staring endlessly at each and every review
Where do they, we, them, get the time?
Why does one have so much of it?
Writing rhyme and prose
I wish someone could tell me all the answers
Ha, that’s funny
For if there is a God, he alone knows.

I guess they, we, them
Are all, lonely, broken hearts
If the truth was really known
Reading others tales of woe
Makes one realise
They, we, them, are not alone
Life!
Way to go
It happens to us all
No exceptions.

It’s sad to think too deeply what’s behind the words
So many people and so much pain
It’s clear to see that in ones life
Nothing seems to gel for long
Nothing ever remains
Something goes awry sooner or later
No exceptions, not always a sweet song

So they, we, them, resort to spending hours in verse
To make up for things missed or passed
One waits eagerly for comments
And gets quite terse
To hear the words so often repeated
Oh It’s great, Marvelous, Wonderful, Keep it up
But what for, who’s kidding who
We are our worst enemy
Crave for attention
Gloat on doom and gloom
They, we, them, are no different from each other
We’ll all know that one day
It’ll come too soon

Stare into space, a tear swells
Thinking again!
What if
If only
Who can tell one the answer
Needing, longing for, all the love one can get
Trying to be the world’s only mother
Giving, sharing, full of love for misfortunes
But still no answers yet

Empty words of encouragement
Maybe, all of us need them
Like the pages written here
They make one realise
They, we them, are all one
Looking into dark endless holes
That fills up so much of our time
We search for words anew
For answers; not yet to come

Will, they, we, them, ever know the truth
Place together all the parts
That so easily come loose in life
In they, we, them
Hearts.

Hello Peter...

"Empty words of encouragement"

unless I took this out of context, I must disagree...for I feel there are many heartfelt words of encouragement for all of the they, them and we's that make up Passions....

but you do give some serious food for thought.
