Softly shivering and releasing the old me, Timeless toucing heartwrench. Ringing out the liquid love, That used to fuel a passion for togetherness. I'm shedding of that tender me, For there is no one home who needs it, And no one who would have it, Beyond brief moments of lonliness and pain. Always coming back around to this. As I lower my gaze, Thoughtfully smile and giggle falsely. Tone drops as my voice grazes a loving heart. Just find me one to break. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And the wind it blows again, Never ceasing with its maddening chorus. Flippantly picking up my hair, And putting it back down, As a 'toy with me' lover might do, In constant desperation moments. I want the wind to stop. I want the night to fade away, And yet here I am all wrapped up in it.. A loving hatred, A cooling burn. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just don't look for me here under these rocks, I'm don't belong here beneath your gaze, And I'm looking for something new again. Followed my footprints in the same circle, And now the woods are grinning at me, Like that damn chesire cat. A look of delight for my being lost. Lashing out is half the fun. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dropped Broken Picked up Glued. Neglected, Aging, Knocked off the shelf carelessy, Chipped. Held too hard, Crushed. Collecting dust. Too close to the edge of the shelf again. |

get back on the shelf. . . and dust yourself off. . . excellent. . . ----------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |
