I watch her, your mother, Touch your arm. I watch her Circling round your space, Never far..her smile ,her look upon your face. You are mine. Have ever been. Before we were we were in His scheme. But she has never relinquished of her hold And this I know As we grow old That you are her's. And always will.. A mother's love ? A wife's? A son's? You are hers when all's said and done. I move away and let her have those secret thoughts of giving life Of suckling lips,of all the unknown aches and pains As she tucks you safe inside her once again. |
