MY GIRL

Listen do you hear it not?
Fast beating heart with fluid hot?
It’s at your presence, that such is so,
And to be without would staunch the flow.

It is your laugh, I long to hear
It is your side, I long to be near.

To embrace your kiss, is heaven’s bliss
To miss your scent, is time ill spent.

You diminish my mask, and force me a fool
You replenish my heart, and make me feel full.

Your voice soothes thy soul, like no one else can
Your eyes cry beauty, I’m putty in your hand.

So I come to you in the still of the night,
To ask you one question, in hopes that you might,
Do me thee honor, and make my dream true,
That is going to prom, with my girl that is you.

I just wanted to tell how much i liked this poem. It was so cute, and i have no doubt that she would say no to such a sweet man. Good job! And keep it up!
