Lost Dreams Void of sleep, I stare out a smeared pane of glass, Frosted of breath, As a sad rain plays upon it. Rhythmically, Tears of whispered time, Slip by unguided, Lost in direction, Left bare and unheeded, Unnoticed, They run, Then are gone, Never missed. A vision of curtained memory, Whisks away with lonely winds, Chiming through barren trees, To rest on sky reflected puddles, Of gray, Dismal and cold. As chills run light on skin, Across static fears, Swimming beneath dream time, Lightning flashes, Fades, Then is gone, Quietly. Left to ponder in dark abandoned nights, Where emotions lay dormant, Restlessly turning, Coiled dreams, In weak hibernation, Slink in the shallow of breath, As shadows unfold, Alone to ache, Yet to be awaken, Left to sleep, They slip away, Then gone, To await tomorrow. lost in thought, found in words. |

the night can indeed be lonely when shadows steal sleep and dreams are lost forever never to be relived. . . excellent. . . ----------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |
