Precious
(Slow Burn of Sunrise)

From the black sea my eyes never turn,
my soul...a cove for the twinkle's spell.
Stars at fiery peak, upward and away,
in their count my wishes circle a heart.
Precious, she lights upon each whim,
her grant of self, defined by a touch
of warm cotton.

Unspoiled, gentle eyes only moonbeams rival,
within the wet sands, her steps measure
the pulse of life itself.
Wisdom, she schools my nature for learning.
Unaware, she towers above the canopy
arresting warmth and releasing its gift
as a tributary to a stream.

Days seem sweeter now, and night a time
spent in lingering anticipation.
The morrow's slow burn of sunrise, a trumpet
sounding in celebration of presence enduring.
Her kisses free to my lips, her heart's only
ransom, the surrender of my own.

Coal~
What gently beautiful words of admiration.
So pleasant to encounter this morning.

this was very beautiful CS...The morrow's slow burn of sunrise, a trumpet
sounding in celebration of presence enduring.
Her kisses free to my lips, her heart's only
ransom, the surrender of my own.

and  I am about to let that slow burn touch me this morning...rid myself of some of my paleness...

~thanks again

this is lovely...
excellent and unique imagery....
and a subtle sensual quality as well as a mystical essecence to it......
very well done poet!!

I miss you so much I cant stand it
Seems like my heart is breaking in two
My head says no, but my soul demands it
Everything I do reminds me of you
