Precious (Slow Burn of Sunrise) From the black sea my eyes never turn, my soul...a cove for the twinkle's spell. Stars at fiery peak, upward and away, in their count my wishes circle a heart. Precious, she lights upon each whim, her grant of self, defined by a touch of warm cotton. Unspoiled, gentle eyes only moonbeams rival, within the wet sands, her steps measure the pulse of life itself. Wisdom, she schools my nature for learning. Unaware, she towers above the canopy arresting warmth and releasing its gift as a tributary to a stream. Days seem sweeter now, and night a time spent in lingering anticipation. The morrow's slow burn of sunrise, a trumpet sounding in celebration of presence enduring. Her kisses free to my lips, her heart's only ransom, the surrender of my own. Coal © |

this was very beautiful CS...The morrow's slow burn of sunrise, a trumpet sounding in celebration of presence enduring. Her kisses free to my lips, her heart's only ransom, the surrender of my own. and I am about to let that slow burn touch me this morning...rid myself of some of my paleness... ~thanks again Maureen/~Wynter * and I too think this is worthy of addition to my library "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |
