The bells of St. Pauls Cathedral
Ring out through the city this day
The weather is beginning to improve
It is in the middle of May

The tourists are here in their thousands
At Nelson's Column is where they do roam
It is so very hard to imagine
That we're thousands of miles from home

We don't see any wombats here
No kangaroos are to be seen
Just pigeons in Trafalgar Square
Some of them looking very lean

We visit all of the tourist places
From Harrods to Hyde Park
Then a stroll along the Thames
Is what we've scheduled for after dark

London Bridge is such a picture
With so many lights, it looks so grand
We hear the tolling of Big Ben
As we walk along hand in hand

Tomorrow we will visit the country
Shakespeare's birthplace is where we will go
Then we'll visit an ancient castle
And imagine times of long ago

In the evening we will spend
At a typical English pub
We'll drink some warm beer
And eat some crisps
Even try some English "grub"

Such a wonderful time we've had
Here in London town
Oh, how I just can't wait
Until we visit next time around

Marge
No, unfortunately I'm not a travel agent but have been fortunate enough to have done a lot of travel.  These are treasured memories for me of the wonderful places I have been.
I'm glad you enjoy the journeys......Sue
