all that she can be
is who she is
a mother
        a wife
              a poet
                    a goddess
the many sides of her
that make up a simple,
but complex, whole
each side showing you
things that you know
and things that you never knew

you can feel it
when she walks in the room
her presence
            her passion
                       her heart
                                her smile
the parts of her
that have been hidden
from even herself
but are slowly, surely
revealed to her
in the light of this new day

and in the light of
that new day
the
   roles
        of
          her life
come quietly together
and we can see her
as she always has been
as she always will be
Just a Woman
a woman in love
               with herself

I have often heard you cannot love anyone else if you do not love yourself first.  A fine tribute, and a delightful presentation.

Sven, thank you so much!  I'm completely speechless, and completely touched.

Absolutely one of my favorites you write about here, Sven.  I've taken more lines away from her poetry than any other, I believe.  Have missed reading her lately...oh well, at least I can read about her!  Thanks for this!
