The Eddy Effect

She has seen you
only in shadows,
a spiraling, concaved
guise of self,
one of many.

She hungers for more
than this sisterly love,
she wants to experience
the lover in you.

Dodging her desires
as best you can,
trying to keep it friendly,
you are, after all
dependent on her.

A maddening,
nonreciprocal cycle,
your wish for freedom,
her schemes
to make you stay.

My goodness. This was both wonderfully written and very powerfilled. You know how to write the perfect poem: intricate and exacting, producing a snapshot in time.

"I am not now that which I have been."

This is nice.  I don't understand fully, but I don't need to to appreciate the poetry.  Joyce

Well, there certainly is intrigue behind that half smiled squint!  Very interesting piece.  Enjoyed it.
