Rendezvous

amongst moon shadow
moors of misty fog
Behold the beauty of twilight
amourous lips braze
entwining two souls

April 28 200l © Kathy Harmon

Edit thanks to Alan's information. Here is the new one in 5-7-5-7-7

amongst moon shadows
moors beckon the misty fog
In twilight beauty
amourous  lips lightly braze
entwining two lonely souls

--------------
You got to get up every morning with a smile on your face
and show the world all the love in your heart
Then people are gonna treat

I think you misunderstand the Tanka format... it works in syllables, and it goes 5-7-5-7-7.
Still, a nice poem, Tanka or not.

Thank-you Marge . Glad you enjoyed this

James--The moors are an interesting place

Alan thanks for the information--Think I got it a bit mixed up with Haikus

latin passion-learning is always fun.

Kath, the vocabulary and imagery in this is excellent...
you created a mystic, enticing, romantic, scene with your well chosen, yet succinct words..
which defines a successful Tanka, Haiku or Senryu
cool title and theme...
well done poetess

Kitkat - this is most precious and says much, with few words.

Again I say Thank-you. Your kind words inspire me to look into new ways of creating my feelings and images I have in my head.

Oh, I didn't expect you to go and rewrite it!
I must say, I like the edit a thousand times more.     You added a few different words and tweaked the wording to make this a true success, very well done.
