Blue Firefly

Some of us chase butterflies…within the evening dew that lies
Most of us see fireflies…with golden glowing bright of highs
All of us have walked the shore…engrossed in misty mystic law
But few of us have ever found…the door to miser evermore.

Some of us have tasted life…with benedictions of a wife
Most of us have tasted strife…and some have played a single fife.
All of us have wiled a wile…a dream to make our life worthwhile.
But few of us have ever styled…a paradise without some guile.

A puzzlement of different ways…a devilment that haunts our days
A settlement we come to weigh…a commitment to suite our clay.
Most of us can’t wash the grime…some of us protest the climb
But all of us become pure chyme…digested by the sands of time.

I cannot speak for others here…for I have found no sooth for fear
It is a middle road I steer…neither yea nor nay this life’s veneer.
Perhaps the middle roads for thee…it’s not for all I’ve come to see.
But all must brew some sort of tea…if one is ever, to be free.

There is one rule I’ve come to follow…it’s the only rule that I can swallow
A golden rule of mellow, mellow…passing grace from fellow to fellow

Some of us write ... in wisdom gold
Some share ... our secrets untold
Some of us see ... thru eyes of butterflies
Some see ... with gifted eyes of wise

I dont know ... what fate holds in store
I dont know the source ... of evermore
What I do know ... is in your verse I learn to fly
While soaring ... I intend to write your name across the sky

~~~~~~~
I could walk on me lips to kiss ya for this one sweet Sy...
this is an impressive show of your talent,
your wisdom, your heart and soul.
You write your heart with such sincerety and a vulnerability that touches us everytime
All the reasons I fell for your poetry so long ago(and the poet)
*winkiewinkie*
love you Sy
me
Though my soul may sit in darkness,
It will arise in perfect light.
For I have loved the stars too fondly ...
To be fearful of the night.
Oh, Seymour~
You've tapped a well-spring of wisdom and beauty in your verse.
I admire your talent for thoughtful phrasing.
Just lovely, dear sweet poet.
I love fireflies, and your verse is impeccable.
