I am sorry...
For this is hard for me to say.
Much less to say I love you--
Because these three words go unsaid.

Yet they are spoken by many,
But are they really true?
They intertwine together,
but are they really abused?

So, when I say these three little words,
they aren't to be taken lightly.
I am sorry,
so very sorry, for the harm I've done.

Please, come weave your life with mine,
for the words are from my heart,
I'll come saying --
I love you, with open arms.

Make a memory by touching someone you love ~ for time stands not still.

Welcome to the family. This poem is so true.. I never fail to say these words when they are needed.. it's not wrong to admit that you've made a mistake. "I'm sorry" can begin the healing process....

I look forward to reading more from you.

LP, one should never be afraid to say those three little words, or to say I'm sorry.
Welcome to passions, enjoy your stay.

This is really beautiful.  Saying your sorry is one of the greatest gifts you can give.  But a really wise friend I repect and admire once told me you cannot expect anything back.  It is up to the other person to forgive.  What they (he/she) does with the apology is out of your control.  It certainly hurts, though, if it is thrown back in your face.

A lovely poem.  Welcome to our pages.  "I love you" and "I'm sorry" are phrases that are easy for some and hard for others, but they should always be said with sincerity.  Joyce

The words are only a vehicle - the actions should back them up, but you know something?  Sometimes it's all we have to start with, enjoyed this very much.

Thank you so much for your lovely words that speak so much truth.  Too many people use those "three little words" far too lightly.
Welcome!  Take care........Sue

Those two sets of 3 little words can either be space-fillers used without meaning... or they can mean everything. *S* I like this very much... it leads to some interesting thoughts. *S* Welcome to Passions!

latin passion - words of caring you write.

"So, when I say these three little words,
they aren't to be taken lightly.
I am sorry,
so very sorry, for the harm I've done.

Please, come weave your life with mine,
for the words are from my heart,
I'll come saying --
I love you, with open arms."

I write these.........

'Just three little words,
I listen and hear them.
Sorrow I hear, but need not be,
for a warm heart still needs thee...

'My life will weave with yours,
words coming too, from my depths.
Hush, for whispered words you will hear,
but only three, "I Love You"....

welcome...

i do sometimes wonder if such words "im sorry" have lost their meaning but after reading this thread, i guess i am not alone in thinking so--that others still care about how they use these words...

interesting poem...and may you enjoy your stay here

No I didn't forget.... Wanted a clean sheet of paper for this.

~~BC~~ here it is already a week past, to be exact 9 days.  When I first read your acceptance and then to forgive (next); when God made you above, little did he realize what a diamond he created. I've said to you before, a gem you are. So, giving, so giving...for you give everyone your all. Pride is a very humbling experience if one has never experienced it. It is refreshing and cleansing of the soul. I stand ready...
I've said it, feel it... for they are not just words...
