I'll Not Follow

Rose left me today
But I think I'll not follow.
In her very odd way
Rose left me today.
She had merely to say
"All that's left is but sorrow."
Rose left me today
But I think I'll not follow.

Oh, a fine poem. Tailored, crafted. Welcome to the forum.. It's good to see this, and by the way some call me "Rose"

Serenity,
Kit,
Nan,
Sunshine,
Rose,

Thank you all for your kind comments of welcome!  Glad to hear from a few lovers of format.  Your remarks will inspire me to use this form again, and some others.
And Rose, there was a Rose in my life for a time.  Perhaps the subconscious was at work here, as she was not in mind when I wrote this.  Perhaps . . .
Thanks again.

S Arthur

I think the triolet is very lovely, and some day when I am very brave, I shall have to tease my pen with one....
