Take me now, then, to task
for all that I have left unsaid
for my fearful quivering
yet every word I wrote, I bled.
Each salted tear that rode my cheek
Was but for you, my soul in seek.

Even in my hopelessness
I have the urge to yet confess
Tainted smile in shades of blue—
Colors of the void of you.

Familiarity—but, NEW
Heartbeat-echoes
Tolling truth
All the pain, I wish unlearned--
Repulsed but drawn to what I yearn--
cannot forget that fire burns..
Enticement of the flames of blue..

Yet every other thought is YOU—
I cannot relent, undo..

I feel so silly writing this--
I lick my lips and dream of kiss.

Serenity has got the blues...
Serenity would rather-- you.

Though my soul may sit in darkness,
It will arise in perfect light.
For I have loved the stars too fondly ...
To be fearful of the night.

Serenity, I got the pic to work for me in your poem it's stunning sweetie...

And like you once said to me before it's your words that sweep me off the floor and even bring me to tears but then again you always seem to touch my heart as you have a gift of expression that I truly admire...

I'm still giggling at your HTML explanation... But for the record what I did was I clicked on the pic "x" box to see the properties and then copied the properties in2 my browser and poof I saw your pic on screen then came instantly back 2 this page and poof your pic was on the same page as your poem

Hmmm... I dunno if I make sense here but whatever I did it worked rite soooooo I'm heading to the fridge for a brewski rite now cus that explanation got me thirsty

I would say that the blues are you. . . and that you are the blues. . .

wonderful. . .

serenity - no need to have the blues, not when you write like this. It's very touching and very telling. I liked it much.
