Starlight Whispers by Michael The night begins to draw the day and still I haven’t slept, while pools of tears on paper lay and yet, I haven’t wept. It’s with this pen my feelings pour. My poems are therapy. A way I’ve come to know such peace and seek the best in me. I strive to be a better man, treat women with respect, to bury hurts from out the past and not on them reflect. I’ve found in life there’s so much hope and it has dried the tears. Each day I search for loveliness and know I will for years. When dark displays its lacery, I’ll find my pen and write, let starlight whispers guide my hand, from wee of morn ‘til light. Proust- |

Hope is such a precious commodity, especially in the world today where despair seems to lurk in every alley. Lovely poem. |

Michael~ 'The night begins to draw the day and still I haven’t slept' Such a beginning ... The night wraps us in it's wonder and does with us what it will .... Really nicely portrayed feelings. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Michael: "When dark displays its lacery, I’ll find my pen and write, let starlight whispers guide my hand, from wee of morn ‘til light." What a lovely word, "lacery"...can I borrow it? for your poem is laced with hope and sincerely written. |
