For Them ALL ~*~So beautiful is a tiny child. How precious any baby boy or girl. Every time I look at a newborn I wonder, Did they come into a safe world? ~*~ How unencumbered are their tiny hearts, How lovingly simple their open minds. No where in their tiny soul, Rests the destruction of mankind. ~*~ They are so happy with simple things, Never noticing the color of new play friends. Simple joys create such pleasure, Unaware that prejudice never ends. ~*~ How sad to see man’s weakened will, The constant hopelessness of man's rage. The cancerous hate those burns night and day, Never mellowing out with age. ~*~ Listen! How peaceful the babbling brook. How powerful the crashing waves of the sea. Do we see the wonder in a snowflake, In a world where ALL deserve to be free. ~*~ Children only learn what they are taught, It’s up to you and I who they will be. Show them that differences matter not. We ALL stem from the Creator, don’t you see? ~*~ How beautiful is a tiny child? How sweet any baby boy or girl. Every time I look at a newborn I wonder, Did they come into a safe world? ~*~ How unencumbered are their tiny hearts, How lovingly simple their open minds. Nowhere in their tiny soul, Rests the destruction of mankind. ~*~ They are so happy with simple things, Never noticing the color of a new play friends. Very nice message in your words, Sharon. I learned a long time ago that parents can make or break a child. Sometimes the children end up hating the world and sometimes the children hate themselves. Either way, they are lost.. Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood. |

Kate: thank you for the reinforcement, parenting is the toughest job in the world, but one that has to be done the best way a parent knows how to develop tomorrow's well-grounded adults. Thanks for the read. |

I wanted to share an old poem of mine with you that this poem reminded me of... I hope you dont mind me posting it here.... thank you for sharing this wonderful write of humanity for childrens innocence. ~Brown And Agile Child~ Brown and agile child, I watch you as you sleep- and think about the loves you'll have, and the secrets that you'll keep. Brown and agile child, for you I wish, a place to grow- where ones color doesn't matter... and acceptance of each other-is all we know. Brown and agile child, with the innocence of youth- I lie and wonder of days ahead ... and pray for the patience- to teach you of the truth Brown and agile child, just a baby now- completely without care, I wish for you-in years to come... a world that will be more fair. Ah to be as children once again, where politically correct languages do not exist and ethnicity is never questioned. Lovely. "I am not now that which I have been." |

Mysteria~ Very pretty and profound~ The road to prejudice is fraught with idiotic grown-ups ... We need to plant the seed of oneness and tend it with love for all of mankind. *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Very beautiful, Sharon...and so wise and true the message. Our children are precious gifts from above...and the look to us to nurture them and teach them and help them to grow into healthy and happy adults who have been taught how to love and how to return it. This was quite moving....I loved it! Hugs and much love to ya, Martha (dawn) |

Janet Marie...that was beautiful, and I never mind "a rider" if it gets the word out on the subject we touched on, I am so sick of it! Thank you. Sunshine...if I made you smile, my work is done! Thank you. Joyce...I hear ya! I only had one of my own but so far in 17-1/2 years have had 102 girls belonging to others I have seen grow up to wonderful young women. I have been blessed. (Big Sisters by the way) Julian...We are all children, we just have forgotten our innocence, and it is sad. bslicker...I have insomnia, so writing fills the hours, glad you dropped in! Marge...You got it! If we each plant a tiny seed of acceptance we are going to have a forest of forever. Corinne...I am so happy you liked this. Martha...Glad you liked it, and being a parent is the best job in the world, but the hardest by far. Please visit me at my new homepage: |

Mysteria, Wonderful is this poem. So precious are these tiny ones and so pure their hearts. We owe it to them to raise them without prejudices of any kind. Michael Proust- |
