I started talking
well, I blurted
over the phone
trying to sound happy
to keep things happy
I need things happy
but then with the pulls
on me
of me
I can only do so much
for so many
and then....
there is nothing
left for me
so I blurted
that I needed
that I was unhappy
(while trying to smile)
I cried
not meaning to
but when you need to please
sometimes you forget
sometimes they forget
that sometimes
you need to be pleased
made to feel special
he called me back
just a bit ago
asked for some time with me
tonight
he has to work late
he'll be tired
but he asked
for time with me
......he heard me.....

Sometimes we try to be everything for everybody and wait too long before we say enough. Glad that you finally let him know you just needed him to be with you. My husband says he can't read my mind, to tell him when I need him to hold me up.
