This was written with primary aged children in mind and before reading asking them to guess, when hearing, who was speaking and to whom was s/he speaking?

Whooo, Whooo, Who...
Virginia Salter

Whooo, Whooo, Who are you?
Would I find you in a zoo?
Would you look at me kind Sir?
Would you make a squawk or purr?

Are you friend or enemy?
Would you eat or taste of me?
What kind of feathers do you wear?
What‚’s behind your big, big stare?

Might you like to eat a mouse?
Might you try to steal my house?
Come on let me take a peek;
what’s within your reddish beak?

You are not like birds I’ve seen;
you’re not yellow, brown or green
How do you sit up in a tree
those kind of feet befuddle me!

And I've got my eyes on you, whooo

Live for love. Without love, you don't live.

Pure fun and pleasure to read.
