Across the Lake And so I saw you in my mind, as sun lay low it's glide on me across the lake, as time would take and whisper kissed, left prints of thee. I wandered into thoughts of you. Surrounded mine, in bedded want of holds, embraced, of kisses laced each memory a shadow's haunt. I saw you in my depth of sleep, reached out to rest my lips to yours. Upon the touch, that thrilled so much forever dreamt I, on your shores. I'd drown myself in moments of your kiss to kiss, from edge to edge. The promise held, in sighs expelled released in me, a love in pledge. I held that glide without, within as heart beats, two to one for you. The sun's warmth shines it's realign, 'til next we meet, come morning new. ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |
