The soughing of the trees With their calm, falling leaves, The buzzing of the bees Making their sweet honeys, Are all I aim to please. What better way to praise The fog and the haze Than by the world we raise. Along with trees and busy bees, Alas, come the allergies Wafting upon subtle breeze, Vanquishing us to our knees With such betraying ease. Yet life is such A despondent maze, A world enraptured By sullen phrase— A surfing craze Holding gay hearts Beneath its swollen waves. It’s amongst these dancing trees, These babbling bees, That we may see The hidden keys Promising certain security, Unlocking doors that lead, Quite simply, To a world waiting patiently For us to seize. This had a calming feel, some humor, and a sense of urgency to say carpe diem. Well done! |

Achoo!! Just a sec. Got to take my Allegra before reading the page. Ah, yes, I've wiped the tears away and can see the poem. Good job. "I am not now that which I have been." |

Oh, the buzzing of the bees and the cigarette trees and the soda water fount... uh oh. Already done and now politically incorrect Live for love. Without love, you don't live. |
