I'll Always Believe by Michael Come to me when icy shadows crawl and moan within the tortured nights of haunted dreams. I’ll soothe your weary brow and safely hold you. When others judge and lose their faith in who you are, I’ll always believe. When mornings wake to solemn overcast, I’ll drive away the threatening clouds and offer hope. When your tears spill, I’ll save each precious droplet as a treasure. Come to me and be my friend. I’ll be your shelter. Proust- |

Michael~ This is wonderfully written. And as a VERY complimentary measure - I'm going to add that it equals (and perhaps surpasses) many a write by my personal favorite, Rod McKuen. That is intended as the ultimate compliment I can give this piece from you - Know that I believe you deserve it fully, poet. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

You write with such a deep intensity from your heart. I couldn't think of any greater honor than for you to call someone your friend. |

Sunny, I'm glad this poem came along at a good time for you, my friend. My poetry can only come from the heart because that is where it lives. Thank you. Interloper, Thank you much. Karilea, I never lose faith in my friends and don't judge their hearts. We each live our own lives as best we can and when a friend loses faith in his or herself, I think it's up to us to shelter them at that time and help them regain confidence in themselves. Thank you. Marge, I've read some of Rod McKuen's writing and that you think this poem is even in the same ballpark with his is a true honor. I thank you, sincerely, for the great compliment. Joyce, My friends are few. Many left when they saw my health failing. I suppose they didn't know how to deal with it. What they didn't understand is that I haven't changed at all. I still have hope, love life and will pursue my dreams. My door to friendship is always open to everyone. It always will be. Thank you. Gentle Spirit, Thank you for such a nice compliment. That makes me feel very good and brings a smile. You're sweet. Martie, Your friendship is also a treasure. I think you already know that. Thank you. inot2B, As I said to Joyce, my door to friendship is always open and you're most welcome to enter and is anyone. Thank you. Everyone, You're all welcome to be my friends and I'd consider it a great privilege to be your own. E-mail me if you'd like and let us get to know one another. I hope your day is one of peace and pleasant thoughts. Thank you. Michael Proust- |

Michael, I don't even know what to say... I do believe I'm speechless. I have waited my whole life to hear these sentiments from past loves.. and I'm still waiting. This poem touched me more than you could ever know. TaraB |

rosepetals, I am not one of a kind. I'm sure there are many men out there that feel exactly as I do. I hope your wait won't be much longer. Thank you for such kind words. Lauren, I appreciate you coming by and reading this. I also thank you for the advice and support yesterday. You're a good friend. Kathleen, This is the way I treat my friends. In my way of thinking, it's the only way to carry on a friendship that is to grow and remain healthy. Thank you. Michael Proust- |
