Again, there she was
With a beauty dark, and brooding
A certain singular somethingness
Of confidence exuding
Seeming as if one with the night
Her pale arms reaching, protruding

Deathless, her mask to wear
Ever beckoning me along
With no emotion emanating
But a telepathic siren’s song
Guiding me, leading the way
Convincing me this could be wrong

Once, not long ago
I would have been able to resist
But now her grip on me, I feel the pull
How unceasingly does she insist
As I follow her into that dark and lonely place,
I know full well, I will not resist

you know my moth motto.....
resistance is overrated *L*

very cool poem PK...love the dark edge to this
the imagery is vivid, stark and cleverly written.
the rhyming words you chose are unique
way cool poet sir

Though my soul may sit in darkness,
It will arise in perfect light.
For I have loved the stars too fondly ...
To be fearful of the night.

One cannot resist the siren song.  Well done.

Live for love. Without love, you don't live.
