'Tis true the tulip and the rose
Resplendent beauty do impose
But once they're picked do quickly wilt
And soon as not return to silt.

The daffodil refracts the sun
With bounteous eyes on every one.
The secret of Fair Daffodil
She's stalwartly perennial.

She'll greet the vernal sun each year
With wisdom and eternal cheer....

Waft every crest upon your destined sea
Embrace the Wave of Serendipity
Lest its elusive arcane ecstasy
Refurl with sail for all eternity
Nancy

Nice, Nan!  But if my scanner worked, I could show you some tulip fields...that I love equally as much as daffodils!  Beautiful photo of gorgeous floras amarillo!!!

What I want to know is, how did that one solitary white daffodil get there?  It adds interest, mystique to your photo!  Great job on both posies and poesy.

Beauty as always, Nanners.   I simply can't find any other words for your work other than superb.

Yup, yup...agree on all counts.  Kinda partial to "glads" myself though love ALL flowers.  Wife works in floral buying department at one of the major grocery chains and brings home "samples" all the time...cut and potted.  Can't buy her flowers anymore though...hee hee, snicker, snicker....

Nan -

Dearest one, daffodils smile,
like one, such as you...
Sweetness is your forte,
always with kindness too.

You have lit this torn heart,
with things that you say...
And it wishes you the very best,
as you see tomorrow, but first today...

Nan, contrary to the daffodil, you bloom each time your pen touched paper

Nan,

Admittedly, I've always felt a certain guilt when I've picked a flower.  They're so much more lovely left alone.  This is very pretty writing.

Daffodils are my favorite flowers... and you've written an excellent tribute to them. *S* Love the field of yellow and your new pic... has that kitty-kicking Long John seen that? LOL
