it hurts to say goodbye in a cold morning mist that softens your red burning eyes but not the pain that's never left behind shivering now in morning mists i cuddle to melting images, still it hurts like dew on petals strewn through gardens of my life some tears have caught the morning light some suffer through the bite of winter's frost but now my tears for you are warmed on petals sprinkled sweet with memories like dew |

still it hurts...you've written this with much emotion and strong physical description. Sadly enjoyed. |

JLR...thanks, glad you enjoyed. I wrote this today for someone I lost over 20 years ago. In many ways, she's still with me. Mike |

Kit...she is the inspiration for many (not all) of my poems. You may see her pop up here again or if you rummage thru some of my oldies. "Yellow Roses" buried somewhere in the Open 12 forum is one of my favorites. (Actually, I feel she sometimes sits along side my muse, helping her.*S*) Thanks for the nice remarks...glad you enjoyed this one. Rose...I'm glad I was able to impress...thank you.*S* vandana...glad you liked it. "HEY, DON'T THROW THAT AWAY, I MIGHT NEED IT SOMEDAY!!!"
