Nineteen years of marriage
Gone with the stroke of a pen
All alone, on my own, now
Standing on the edges of discovering.

Learning to find myself
To trust the new me
Forged in the aftermath
And flirting with the edges of discovering.

Trying hard to find
The narrow road between
Single, and single mom
Skirting the edges of discovering.

Whats next for me?
Who knows
A new love, a new life
Falling over the edges of discovering.

Paula---I think there's a television channel devoted to this 'Discovery' thing.  Ha!  The whole world awaits you...a bit scary maybe, but I think you're gonna find it to be a wonderful adventure.  Send me a postcard next time, I missed you.  ---RJ

Hey poet pal it's always good to be on the edge of discovering that's where everything opens up and you find yourself again. Very straight forward and open I really like this kind of approach to poetry!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie
