The Paso Doble

The music from the bullring
Taken to the dance
It is very compelling
It rivals tango for romance

The lead is so strong
The feelings so intense
But it’s much more than these
For the eyes hold the suspense

You can hear how it builds
Like a Bolero it grows
Taking all concentration
An avalanche of snows

But it’s no cold dance
For it steams at the chance
To hold you in my arms
You’re my total Romance

The first duty of love is to listen.

Again Wilfred Yeats our spirits mess. My first introduction to the power of classical mucic happened over forty years ago when you played Bolero for me at your home.  Forever greatful.
