Midnight Sky

~*Marge Tindal*~

I have felt the warm wind blow
across a midnight sky
Moon in hidden stage of phase
upon her light I cannot rely

Indigo mood of deep, deep blue
separates me now from you
Lyrid Meteor's do fly
across a midnight April sky

Watching as their sparkles are spent
stars begin a rapid descent
Finding me in retrograde
of all the starlight we have made

Lighting up a midnight sky
leaving a trail as they pass by
Hoping that they glow anew
caught up in a star so true

*I just had to work the wonders
of the Lyrid Meteor Shower into one.*

~Gorgeous painting by Duane Hilton~

Joyce~
Thank you so much !
The meteor shower last evening (2-3a.m.)
was exquisite.
Hope you get to catch a bit of it.

INot2B~
LOL !
Could be ... but I'm fairly certain it's
the Lyrid.
This is the annual meteor shower time for such an awesome display.
Catch one !  It's lovely to watch.

~Marge,...you seem to always notice the wonders, and capture them in a way that allows us to notice too, (when you write of them like you do). Thank you much for that. *Peace you.

I am never disappointed on opening one of our veteran poet's posts.  I am so pleased to be able to return and share these experiences with all of you.  Marge, you feel like an old friend and it is like coming home.  This is a beautiful expression.

Set your clock to be on the lawn between
the hours of 2-dawn ...
You will see a beaut of a show.
I will smile, waiting to hear your reaction.

Opps almost missed this today...wow I never saw this type of event before, lucky you!  This was a wonderful description so I feel I actually did see it, but then, you always "shed some light on things"!

And work the wonders of it into a beautiful poem you did for sure. Beautiful images Marge....crisp and clear, virtual delight!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie

Marge, the writing here is lovely...
The picture suits the piece very well. The desert at night has always been something I have found to be breathtaking...

May your dreams always dance to the rhythm of a lover's heartbeat...
