When you see only in black and white you miss the flags waving over the International Center celebratory runners mean nothing. When you see only in black and white you miss the sky changing colors throughout the year artists straining to capture passions of sunset mean nothing. When you see only in black and white you miss reflections of mist rising above a green tree line the stories of returning hikers mean nothing. When you see only in black and white you miss yellow, orange, red, blue, green and all colors in between a child’s crayon box means nothing. When you see only in black and white you miss the gentle nuances of aging into gray, its sweetness and the smiles from strangers mean nothing. When you see only in black and white you miss seeing the red blood spilled on your behalf and refrains of a national anthem means nothing. When you see only in black and white you miss this Old World of give and take and native cultures with their language and dress mean nothing. When you see only in black and white you see only flat the world has ended and you forgot to die. ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ Graphics:Oliviero Toscani Music:midifiles, Jazz1 "I am not now that which I have been." |

There are many things to be seen, if we just look with our heart. This was wonderful! |

Thank you Seymour, Packratmike and Martie. It seems we shall never get the point: diversity equals inclusion. I teach at a community college a course very close to that sentiment, and each winter quarter students are amazed. ~Shalom, Julian "I am not now that which I have been." |

Julian~ This is so well-crafted. 'When you see only in black and white you miss the gentle nuances of aging into gray, its sweetness and the smiles from strangers ...' And sometimes 'smiles from strangers' mean EVERYTHING ! Oh ... what a lovely look at gray ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

I love your everything ... |
