Death of A Madman

He was the man that unleashed that blitzkrieg
of tanks and bombs.
His words set those Panzers and Stuka's in motion
to deliver his deadly dose of death and destruction.
Yes only a madman named Hitler could be so sure he was right
as the bombs fell like rain killing everyone in sight.
Yet as those Panzers of steel rolled over the sacrificial flesh
of those who dared to defy his lust for world dominance
we find other forces at work within the land.
Strong men of substance and courage were already busy formulating a counter plan.
Many good men and women would die to restore peace to a war crazed land.
Brave warriors soon to die to stop the reign of this madman.
Charismatic Military leaders would soon prove their worth on blood drenched battlefields.
Generals such as Eisenhower, Patton, Bradley and Montgomery would ensure a madman knew his place.
An evil and unjust man now doomed to experience his rightful disgrace.
Wonder why he was so damn mad.
Society seems to have a way of creating monster such as he.
How repulsively sad.
And what fate did Hitler await.
Seems like the U.S., the Brits, the Australians, the Canadians, the French and yes even those pesky Russians wanted a piece of Hitler's ass.
So he figured he would deny us all the pleasure.
He took a bullet to the head and before you know it he was dead.
It almost seemed like a desirable alternative to admitting he was wrong.
Is this why they call suicide the coward's way out?
Apparently a madman doesn't want the whole world to see him die.
I believe it would be safe to say that when a madman
dies no one takes the time to cry.
