The paint on the wall

paint on the wall,
it’s ugly
it’s pink
it’s different shades
with
different lights
doesn’t match
anything

I want  it covered
with other stuff
to hide it

doesn’t match
anything,
not the ceiling
nor floor.

makes me feel
down
depressed
and angry
that
ANYONE
would ever
paint their world
that color pink
nothing on it
feeling
lonely
and plain

just looking
this wall
that’s covered
in PINK

A smile a day keeps the world in smile's.

Bernie? I think you went a step farther in this one...loved not only the metaphor of the "wall" but to feel stagnated by the color!!! There is much deep imagery here. I love it---the need to "hide it" through the placement of things...love everything about this one!

One of the best things a writer can do is allow one's imagination to recall a similar incident...only the walls were a putrid green....and I adore green!  But not that recall.

Enjoyed!

Wonderful emotion in this!   I love to paint walls.....nothing like a fresh coat of paint.

I have a hallway painted a color I don't even know the name of...it's awful.  I wonder at who could have done such a thing.  Yes, white would be wonderful.  Enjoyed!

I just painted a wall and ceiling  heavenly blue....I hope some day someone doesn't think it so bad when they live here instead of me...
