from home
Is never fun
But probably less so
When a dogface
In Vietnam.
Charley
Likes to make
Christmas
A time for sorrow.
Just me and a few
Marines
Sharing K rations
Packed in 1942.
Lucky Strike green goes to war
Twenty years later.

This truly touched me. I find it sad, how many forget too easily, just what our men went through. Am saving this. My compliments, Interloper.

You know...we up here (Canada) could never quite understand this war, not at all. I have seen the damage done to your men who migrated to Canada, and it simply breaks my heart. This poem is excellent as a reminder of the sacrifices those men and women made in honor of their country (and think the government made a huge mistake getting involved!), but what do I know?
