Colors of yesterday
Faded on each petal
Gathered together
Still alive with beauty

Remembering the giving,
The night before, that
Summer night full of
Promise outlined in love

Lost in darkness deep
Eyes of void crying
In silence, crying tender
To a frail heart upon your name,

In my darkest hour your love
Is found in scattered petals
And lingering sounds
Of your voice in the wind's gentle
Sigh it remains, in calm of night

I stand at the seas edge
I feel your strength lapping
My feet, again my memory recalls,
Each tide, each storm, each peace
That flows and weaves your reflection

My soul outstretched in whys
Serenity and tranquility will follow
Scattered gently in cendres et roses
To a frail heart upon your name
