Pediatric Oncology these words do not belong together I was just thinking of Jennie a six year old with lung cancer Smoking parents you know the type I remember when I was called to move her body to the morgue I also remember when they first brought her here I only spent a few moments in the hallway talking to her She said she had a gift for me a sticker with a smiley face I took with me her smile and gave her the only thing I had A hug in return And although her treatments failed and she died soon after we met I like to think of the short time I spent with that ray of sunshine And to this day I can feel the warmth of her smile (dedicated to Jennie Anders 1991) A real man |

Hard to imagine that there was a reason for that angel blessing your days...but see? She has had you write this, as a reminder... Well done Sir. Hard to share, I know, but I thank you for that, this Easter morn. Jennie now lives on in other hearts. |
