I planted a garden today One that i promised i'd finish someday Trimmed all the bushes, took out the dead wood Nourished the soil to give the plants some food I planted Inpatients and some Marigolds Red, pink, purple, orange and even some gold Before I was done, saw butterflies and bees Feeding on the new flowers, heard birds in the trees The garden is planted, its beauty to soon share After giving it some tender loving care I accomplished a few things today For one, my contribution to Earth Day (4-22-01) And I did something I promised I would And might I add, my garden looks good |

It was rainy here most the day, your poem was a breath of much needed sunny springtime. |

Mmmmm...for me, Gardening is practical spirituality...methinks we plant gardens every day, whether we intend to or not! Sounds like you had a lovely day! |
