Dear Earth, I've always honored you, And unknowingly was polluting too. I shall ask for guidance right away. And try to do better from this day. Lord of the Universe, show me the way. What is there I might do today, To help keep everything in it place, And no longer bring myself disgrace? I wear no furs and no feathered hat, But I know I must do more than that. I'm told I shouldn't have dug that herb, Or the whole of Nature I could disturb. Every tree I have cut, I must replant, Or someday there will be not one extant. It seems I'm wrong, if I do or don't. So I'm asking now is it will or won't? Should I get up early and start the day, And try hard to find a better way? Or should I stay right here in my bed, And pull the blankets over my head? I must not dig for my own food. It was put there for Nature, not my good. I may grow my own, but must spare the slug, And do no more harm to any bug. So you see my dilelmma, what do I do? That will be most pleasing unto you? I guess the right answer can only be, To rebuild the earth, while excluding me. By Joyce 04/14/01 |

I Pray Domes on the Moon & mars may help those who cherish life & nature escape & leaP TO REAL NATURAL BEAUTY FROM EACH STEPPING STONE. YES EARTH SHOULD NOT LOSE HER SELF TO THE GREED OF MANKIND WHEN THERE ARE COMETS & ROCKS WAITING TO BE MINED, THAT MAY INDEED FEED THE EARTH REPLENISHING NEUTRIENTS MAN HAS RAPED AWAY ALLOWING GRASS & TRESS THAT REACH THE hEAVENS APLENTY. |

I enjoyed this...and it is a dilemma. I know I am quilty of not doing my part, it just seems overwhelming, at times. Thanks for this! |

Joyce, when we had the time...we went out and picked off the slugs and bugs...but now we want the bounty, AND the feast!... we are a magnificent bunch, but still, the pests take over.... a good write. We must persist for the good of all, in the best of ways... |

Joyce, I hear your voice and you do have a choice. If each will undo what each has done. It will be a better world this one. Wonderfully done. |

Joyce - if more of us felt this way, the delicate earth wouldn't be crying today. Very well written, and enjoyed reading. BC |
