Yes, it's inspired by City of Angels  I hear the music of the sunrise and I know the desires of the heart I walk the skies at night and I know the secrets of the soul this is my life I escort some people into eternity at their appointed time and help others from going there too soon the power of my being like the touch of a hand can fill the heart with calm and peace it can make the lonely heart happy and make the injured heart heal this is my life I am not the one who makes the decisions rather, I am one who carries out those decisions and I was happy with who and what I was. . . until today. . . when you looked at me with that defiant look in your eyes it was if you looked into the core of my very being how could you? when you couldn't see me did you know that I was there? I was there when you lost that battle you had to learn that some things are just out of your hands that you cannot bring them all back that sometimes, I have to take some of them home but, in your eyes I saw something. . . I saw your soul and I knew then that I wanted to spend forever with you I watched you for a time watched you go through your days your nights watched you live, laugh, and love and as I watched you I wanted to be with you I wanted to be the one that you laughed with I wanted to be the one that you lived with I wanted to be the one that you loved and so, one day, I revealed myself to you I showed you as I am and I looked at you with the eyes of a child knowing love for the first time but, there was one thing I couldn't do. . . I couldn't touch you. . . to do that, I would have to fall fall from Heaven to join you on Earth and once I did I could never go back. . . it wasn't an easy decision. . . but now. . . here I am taking that last step off of the building and I'm falling. . . falling. . . falling. . . what did I give up? the moon, the sun, the stars? the celestial choirs? the power of the soul? perhaps. . . but, it was all worth it if only to spend one moment, one second in your arms and to see your face on this. . . the first day of the rest of my life. . . ----------------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Beautifully written. The ultimate sacrifice for love. Loved the movie.
