While I was sleeping
Beneath the sheet
So secure knowing
I am complete

Opening my eyes
To morning light
Amazed how time flies
Knowing my plight

A week of waiting
Each seven days
Anticipating
So come what may

Rising from my bed
Looking at you
Gowned pulled overhead
And then I knew

Oh, why did I cheat,
Stepping off my scale....

Every minute you are angry, you lose 60 seconds of happiness.

Oh you are a bad girl ... LOL
teasing us like that...
leading us along...making our anticipation grow..
very clever and witty ...
well done...and nice to see you posting a poem for us to reply to,
as you so graciously and consistantly do to our work...(TY to you)
and as for that scale...theres always next week...
woman can not live on poetry alone

I understood this from beginning to end, wonderul emotion here and good, solid feeling......

Janet Marie Thank you for your kind comment. It was that hot fudge sundae that did me in, plus a few other treats.
Irish Rose Thanks for reading and yes those emotions must of got the best of me.

Joe & Joyce thank you for reading. It seems every week I stand on the scale and I swear the thing laughs at me.
