I really can’t explain it- When something dies inside... We act like nothing’s happened, Our emotions try to hide... But there’s an aching hollow, Somewhere deep within the heart- With the agony to follow, When you’re finally far apart. But it falls beneath the heading: “That is all a part of life”! Be it, when you lose a husband- Your children, or your wife... A friend you’ve known since childhood- Or your peace gives way to strife- It all falls beneath the heading- “That is all a part of life”! Maybe when your future, At your feet in ashes lies... Or your dear one has betrayed you- To your dismay and great surprise. Or you’re told to set in order- Your affairs, for death is nigh... It all falls beneath the heading- “That is all a part of life”! |
