My Morning Time The mornings are my time, when no one is up, The kids are sleeping and so is the pup. The smell of fresh brewed coffee in the pot Quiet and peaceful, oh what a great time slot. Still almost dark, yet just beginning to shine, Bringing on daylight, taking the dew off the vine. The sounds of the neighborhood, start rustling about, Many going to work the same old route. The birds start to sing, the squirels move around, Time for me to log-in to work, i am beginning to frown. But then the next morning while i am awake all alone, The mornings of my time I once again own. . Bernie Bernie Slicker |

this had a gentle, yearning pull, Bernie, of knowing a peacefulness that has been shattered, but knowing of moving forward... at least, that's how it struck me.... |

Yep! And on days like today, when I've not been called to sub, I have a really hard time not stretching the morning hours into the early afternoon. Enjoyed this piece, muchly, bslicker!! |
