He said "I love you little girl" I believed him With the trusting innocence Of a young girl It was so easy With his Alabama accent And big brown eyes At that moment I loved him too He touched my heart with gentleness and kissed my lips with a sweetness I hadn't yet felt He picked a flower for me My first I was 13 I still have that flower And when I see it I'm reminded Of what it means to be young And to feel love Even if only For one day At the Fair ~SEA~ If I let you into my heart..... |

Interloper~ you are so sweet....thank you Janet~ I have no idea what kind of flower it is....maybe it's a weed for all I know LOL but it has stayed in my heart shaped velvet box for all this time (17 yrs.) and it's lost a few petals here and there, but all in all it's stayed intact very well. Each time I see it, I touch it, and I remember him. Auguste~thank you Vicky~ awesome to see you!
